Mill Gill Force
The route to Mill Gill takes you through the village of Askrigg, over meadow and up through woodland.
Park in the small car park on the way into Askrigg from Carperby or by the Church. (Also worth a visit!)
There are honesty boxes for donations which help pay for the upkeep of the area.

Follow the main street until you get to the St Oswald's church then turn down Mill Lane. Follow this lane until you reach a gate on the right leading through the buttercup meadow.
At the far end go through the stile and under the trough. Cross the bridge and turn right into the woodland.
Continue up until you reach a sign post "Mill Gill Fall only" and descend down to the falls.
Taking a left at the sign post will take you on to the Upper falls and Whitfield Gill Force, (which is covered in another blog post).
